Auricular Therapy

Auriculotherapy or Ear Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture practiced in the clinic as well as on civil servants or victims during traumatic events. Ear acupuncture can  also be used with detox therapies. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the map of the ear is a microcosm of the macrocosm (the whole body). Ear acupuncture points correspond to anatomical, physiological, and emotional aspects of the body. Gold or silver plated beads or Vaccaria seeds can be used as well as tacks or needles. Ear acupuncture sends specific signals to the brain through the points on the ear and its reflex system which then travel directly from the brain to corresponding body parts and organ systems. Therefore, ear acupuncture can be used to potentiate TCM acupuncture treatments both in the clinic and at home. Literally, you can take your treatment out of the clinic with you and onward into your week for additional benefit.

Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) and the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA) use auriculotherapy due to its easy accessibility and it because it provides profound relief from emotional and physical pain.
